Convening of the 10th World Congress
of Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo - 2024
- In accordance the internal regulations of the Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo World Council of Masters,
- In accordance the statutes of the Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo World Federation,
- Following the decision to stop the organization of the Congress in Houston by the Vovinam-Viet Vo Dao Federation of Texas for internal reasons,

Dear leaders of the national federations,
After studying the proposals of certain member countries for an alternative solution, we are pleased to inform you that the 10th World Masters Congress as well as the General Assembly of the World Federation of Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo will take place in Hammamet - Tunisia, September 26-28, 2024.
Here is the provisional program:
- From September 21 to 24, 2024: Receiving of all members of World Federation of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Masters.
- September 25, 2024: Training reserved for international masters
(the detailed program will be communicated later by the International Technical Commission).
- September 26, 2024: Technical examination & Thesis presentation.
- September 27, 2024: World Master Congress.
- September 28, 2024: World Federation Congress,
results of the 10th World Congress, belt presentation ceremony and international demonstration.
- September 29, 2024: Training reserved for tunisian students.
World Congress is an exceptional moment for masters and leaders to make their contributions, express their opinions and vote on decisions... on projects, proposals or international conventions... in order to make improvements to our organization.
It also marks a new progression for our organization on a global level because we will have to re-elect all our leaders:
- The Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo World Council of Masters: A technical executive board responsible for ethics, philosophy, the curriculum, the degree system, examinations, thesis defenses..., with the mission of monitoring, supporting and developing Vovinam's national federations and training centers Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo throughout the world.
- The Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo World Federation: administrative executive board that represents our Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo in legal terms, with the mission of controlling, coordinating and developing all national federations.
According to our statutes, the election of the management team takes place once every 4 years.
In 2020, the Covid-19 health crisis prevented a world congress for to renew the current management team which has been elected since 2016 in Los Angeles - California - USA.
Get ready now to attend this congress and present yourself for the election of the new management team in order to actively participate in the development of our organization.
The World Congress is also an opportunity for masters from all continents to take the degree examination, defend their thesis or be promoted to the next grade according to the "International Convention of Ranks".
The organizing committee will be placed under the direction of the Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo World Federation with the support of the Tunisian Association of Vovinam-Viet Vo Dao.
Throughout the 3 days of the World Congress (from September 26 to 28, 2024), the organizing committee will cover the costs of accommodation and meals for the masters and presidents of the member national federations.
Hammamet is a seaside resort in Tunisia, very famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. In this wonderful setting, we have decided to welcome you and your family during this period. In the coming days, you will receive the registration documents as well as the participation rates.
We look forward to seeing you in Hammamet - Tunisia for the success of the 10th World Congress.

Article 1 : The Tunisian Association of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao is responsible for organizing the 10th World Congress 2024 of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao, which will take place from September 26 to 28, 2024 in Hammamet - Tunisia.
Article 2 : Mr. Ridha Ben Akermi Badraoui, President of the Tunisian Association of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao, is appointed President of the Organizing Committee of the 10th World Congress 2024 of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao on behalf of the World Federation of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao.
Article 3 : Mr. Ridha Ben Akermi Badraoui, President of the Tunisian Association of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao, is placed under the responsibility of the President of the World Federation, to whom he is accountable.

INFORMATION FLASH ON THE ORGANIZATION OF THE 10th 2024 CONGRESS IN HOUSTON TEXAS-USA
The Vovinam-VVD Texas Federation, has just informed the World Federation of its decision to stop the organization of the 10th World Congress in Houston Texas in July 2024, for internal reasons.
We are sorry that this cancellation has caused great disappointment and much financial prejudice for participants who had already purchased their airline tickets.
In order to resolve this problem, and after contacting a number of member countries, the World Federation has obtained the following list (in alphabetical order of the French language) of potential candidates:
- Germany, Belarus and Russia (co-organizers), France, Morocco, Senegal
For the organization of the 10th Congress: 3 days of activities around September, early October 2024.
Following a feasibility study by the candidate countries, and a review of the applications, we will keep you informed on this subject.

Dear Masters, Teachers,
Dear Competitors, Practitioners and supporters,
We are honored to inform you of the results of the Great Traditional European Gathering and the 10th European Cup of Vovinam-Viet Vo Dao, which took place from 18 to 19 May 2024 in Limoges, France.
Expected to be the major European event of the year, this event was placed under the high patronage of the World Federation and organized by the Vovinam-Việt Võ Đạo France Federation, which, through the Organizing Committee, took up the challenge remarkably well and achieved a real success by hosting this great European Traditional Gathering.
The Organizing Committee was responsible for staging the following events:
- The 10th edition of the European Cup
- The 64th Foundation Day ceremony (1960-2024)
- The national grades examination
- The yellow belt award ceremony
